Lying in bed for the past six weeks recovering from this knee injury has certainly taken its toll on me financially. If that isn’t bad enough, I’m feeling uncomfortably fat due to the lack of exercise and large amount of bed rest.

Let’s add in the stress of my son, Marc missing, which resulted in a visit to the police station and a Silver Alert being broadcast through a wide array of media outlets. (Also, one of the reasons that I haven’t posted on my blog.)

Marc was located tonight and returned safely.

Thank God.

I seriously need to start taking better care of myself.

(That’s not me but certainly, how I feel at this moment)

I know that there are a million different diets out there. I am limited as to an exercise routine because of my knee. (So going out walking is out of the question.)

Let me ask all of you…what are your best diet tips for losing weight?

How can I get enough exercise to burn calories when I’m down a limb?

I’m not feeling very funny today.

Quite truthfully, I’m pretty depressed.

PLEASE FEEL FREE TO POST YOUR COMMENTS, BEST EXERCISE & DIET TIPS / SUCCESS STORIES HERE.

I can surely use some inspiration and advice.

Thank you,

  1. Hello Erin, so sorry to hear about all that’s been not so right in the past few days. But I heaved a sigh of relief when I read that Marc was found safe.
In terms of what you could do towards your diet, I think it will be best if you ate a lot of raw veggies and fruit – they get digested very soon and contain a lot of fibre which doesn’t add to weight. Also small meals spread out over every 1/2 hours will be good rather than big meals. I hope this helps. šŸ™‚

  2. A lot of people swear by Nutrisystem, but good old healthy eating is really the only thing that works long term. Everything else will give you a short term loss and a long term gain. That’s how we destroy our ability to really lose weight — ever. Take care of your life. The weight loss is not really the big item on your menu.

    1. Thank you Marilyn that comes from a point of wisdom. I appreciate your advice. I hope I didn’t come off like I am not concerned about my son. I just didn’t want to get into all of the details on my blog. Trying to write a post while exhausted from a lot of stress isn’t easy. I am burnt out. I have to start taking better care of myself so I can be the best I can be for my children.

  3. Jeez, poor you – glad Marc’s ok but I know you surely didn’t need that 😬
Only way I ever loose is counting calories and walking a bunch. Neither can you do really do now so maybe get 3 dumbbells are tone your arms instead for right now šŸ™‚
